Committee on Club Meeting & Administration (House Committee)

Responsibilities:  This committee is responsible for providing the most effective club meeting possible. Areas of focus will be the club meeting program, physical location, reception, fellowship, and inter-club relations.

Community Service

Responsibilities:  The committee shall implement projects on the arts, business affairs, citizenship, civic improvement, Community beautification, conservation, health international understanding, literacy, public affairs, Safety, or help for senior citizens and disabled persons.  Popular projects may include, Meals on Wheels, Special Olympics, Salvation Army, issues forums, and youth exchange.

Finance and Fund Raising Responsibilities:  This committee will be responsible for preparing a budget of estimated income and expenses for submission to the board of directors, this will be prepared based on submission of requests from the committee chairs for next year projects. It will also make recommendations it may have on financial matters of club. It is also responsible for security the funds necessary to  meet budget requirements.  Chair and Co-chair of the Auction should be members of this committee

Membership Growth & Education Responsibilities:  This committee should strive to increase membership according the standards provided in the bylaws. The committee should consider all Membership information Forms and submit its Recommendations to the board of directors. The committee should also develop an effective orientation and induction ceremony for new member and promote regular attendance by all members at club meetings.

Public Relations

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible for helping to ensure that the public receives, through the media and other means the Objects, goals, programs and achievements of  the club. It should utilize the PSA's Public Service Announcements produced by Kiwanis International.

Sponsored Youth Responsibilities:  The committee should devise ways and means to establish and support K-Kids clubs in elementary Schools, Builders Clubs in the middle school, Key Club at the High School, and Circle K Club at the University. It should encourage and promote the activities of these clubs. It should promote the support of Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminars, Scholarships, mentoring and career days. The Committee should include the Kiwanis club advisors to these sponsored programs.

Youth Services & Young Children: Priority One

Responsibilities:  This committee should implement projects to children, prenatal through age five as well as school-aged youth.  Projects can address Maternal and child health, child care, early development, nutrition, parenting education and support, Advocacy, pediatric trauma (including the promotion of KAPTC) safety, academics, advocacy, career exploration, character education and citizenship, club activities, health, hobbies, leadership development, literacy, mentoring, prevention of drug or sports and recreation. Projects should include assisting child care and head start programs, distributing home safety checklist, building and repairing playgrounds and bike safety programs, sponsoring sports teams, RIF, Terrific Kids, Bring up Grades (BUG), and career days.
